Guest guest
Hello, I printed out and followed the direction on the types of paint, varnish, sealer, and stickers to use under the files section of the plagio board. My son has had his DOC band since 11-18-05, and three paints jobs later, we are just sticking w/ stickers. The paint only lasted for 2-3 weeks at the most. It started chipping with in a week! I don't know if anyone eles had any horror stories about chipping paint falling into the hair and face, but we are not going to try to paint it again. I do agree it looks better painted, but it's not worth the frusteration. If you want to change the paint, it is easy to peel it off. I hope your paint experience will be better than mine. My question is, I plan on using Mod Podge as a sealer for the stickers and paint (I THINK we will paint), but the bottle says that once dried it cannot be removed. SO am I stuck with the same stickers/design for the whole course of treatment? Not that I mind, but I thought it'd be cute to change it up for easter and such! Also, my mom and I are going to make some tshirts with plagio sayings on them. I can't wait for him to wear them with him helmet. It is going to be SO cute ! My favorite saying is "You should see the OTHER guy!" LOL!!Thanks for your help, ladies! Photos Ring in the New Year with Photo Calendars. Add photos, events, holidays, whatever. Guest guest
Kaitlyn was banded on 12-15-05 and her orthotist said to NOT paint it because it will chip and can be harmful if the baby was to put the chipped paint in his/her mouth. My advice would be to ask your orthotist what he/she recommends.az_melanie <chattymomma@...> wrote: Hello-Rhys is getting his DOC band next Friday and I have already gone out and bought stickers and paint to decorate it.
