You should be very proud of yourself Mom. :-) Please know that , you and your family are in my prayers. If you ever need to talk, email me your phone number. I'll be thinking about you and Clarie. Good luck tomorrow, please let us know how you make out. Hugs, > > Well, we finally got the 3D CT scan done. The good news is that > 's sagittal suture is not fused as originally thought. Guest guest
Thanks, . I needed that little pat on the back. We met with the neuro and he said he feels the surgery would be our best option. He said a band " might " work, but if it were his child he would just fix it because that will definitely work. I went and spoke with the orthotist at Hanger to get their feelings on the matter. The guy was really nice and told me that while they could definitely put a band on her and improve the shape some, the degree of improvement would be minimal due to the extent of the synostosis. Our neuro wants me to meet with the plastic surgeon to make sure he's in agreement about the surgery. Our appt isn't until April 4th. I was going to call this morning to see about moving it up, when out of the blue the plastic surgeon's office called me and asked if we can bring in today. (Her angels are looking out for her, I guess.) So, we'll be seeing the plastic surgeon this afternoon. The neuro said if the plastic surgeon agrees, he would wa nt to do the surgery ASAP. I'm surprisingly calm about the whole thing. I guess I just want to do it and get her on the road to recovery. She'll probably still need a helmet after the surgery. I guess we'll see. Now I'm just trying to figure out if I should just go with Hanger here in town if we do need a helmet. I need to hear some positive Hanger stories. & Re: 3D CT confirmed cranio Plagiocephaly

 ,
I have to tell you, your strength throughout this has been amazing!
This can't be easy for you, and your handling it so well.
