Hi ,

I think it does not hurt to have him tested as long as he is there anyway. I

always request a urine test and creatinine on my two daughters when they have

their physicals. So far thank the good Lord they both are testing negative.

MY parents don't have it but I do have an aunt, on my moms side, who

has always had kidney problems but she's stuburn and never had a

biopsy. She has high blood pressure and diabetes that the docs say

are due to her kidney problem. I don't think she has IgA but she has

a lot of the symptoms. I've never asked her about her lab work but I

know she gets flank pains and swells sometimes.
