Guest guest
I saw some notes posted about the high cost of purchasing health insurance. I thought I would mention what we have done, in case someone else is interested. We are members of a health care cost-sharing group called Christial Care Medishare. Our monthly payments for coverage for our family of 3 is $183. That is with a $900 deductable per year per condition, so it is really a kind of catastrophic coverage. They also have a $250 deductable available for a higher premium. There are some requirements to join - active involvement in a church, no smoking, no drinking problems, etc. There are some down sides to having such a high deductable per condition, but it works for any big stuff. We have found out that we have to stay right on top of what has been paid, applied to the deducable, etc.; they have some trouble keeping things straight. If anyone is interested they can email me personally or if there is enough interest I can post it to the board. Ken Re: BAD NEWS Right now it is NJ. Many of our neurologists and orthopedics (mainly neurologists) have left the state. We have 20 neurologists remaining in the state. The obstetricians and gynecologists are leaving the field en masse. All I can relate to is here in NJ. Aliceanne At 07:40 AM 2/6/2003 -0500, smattsonMT@... wrote: >Aliceanne >Is that all over or just a certain state?
