Whenever Cece's neck would get tight with a growth spurt she'd start puking again. It can be from a food too but I think that would be pretty noticeable. All three of my kids had GER. Dane had it so bad that he had apnea from it. The ped told me when our oldest was an infant that kids with GER tend to be pukers their whole lives.
