Guest guest Posted December 27, 2005 Report Share Posted December 27, 2005 I have had an evaluation with Cranial Technologies about my son's plagiocephaly and they said that he needed to have the DOC band treatment. We did some repositioning (without knowing that was what it was called) and he loves tummy time and it did seem to help, so now his problem is just mild to moderate. I am worried about whether they are being honest about him needing this. Have they ever told anyone it wasn't necessary? It is sooo expensive and we basically have to pay up front and hope the insurance reimburses us, so it makes me suspicious that they just want the money. Also, since he is just mild to moderate now, will insurance give us a hard time? My pediatrician said she thought he would benefit from it after receiving the evaluation report. He is six months old, so we need to make a decision. We have an appointment for casting on Thurs.
