Guest guest
Watch Out for the Bump! So you've decided on a goal, written it out, started working towards it, and committed yourself to a date. You're following your road map to a tee, when suddenly, you hit a bump. The bump is so unexpected that it causes you to swerve and drive straight into an empty field. I, too, found myself swerving from my goals this past week. And as hard as I tried to pick myself up and hit the road again, I failed. Sometimes, getting through the first day is the hardest. It's very easy to just live the days as they come. That's why most people don't bother setting goals...its too much work. Don't fall into that mindset. Stumbling blocks are bound to happen. The trick to making it over the block is the 110% push. What, you say. The 110% push is just how it sounds. Here are six steps to getting back on the road: Figure out where you are. Do you need to completely start over or can you just back-up? Make a quick list of what you have to do to get on track. Read and re-read you original goal sheet. Commit to your goal again. Plan ahead. Figure out WHY you got off track and plan for future obstacles. Take the 24 hour challenge. For 24 hours, live your goal perfectly. Don't cheat at all. After the day is over, you should be recommitted to accomplishing whatever you set out to do. Good luck on reaching your goal. Remember, just because you get off track doesn't mean you have to give up!
