Hi all, I have a question or two.

I got it into my head that I'd like to check out my adrenals and progesterone

level via a

saliva test. I've been reading some books on perimenopause ( Lee,

Christiane

Northrup) and I think my levels of progesterone may be dropping due to changes

in my

cycle (I'm almost 43). On my DDI hair test, taken a year ago, I met the

counting rules and

presented " all-low " with my Ca, Mg, Na, & K all going in the same direction,

down and

about the same levels.

Honestly, I've been feeling pretty good compared to a year ago. I've done 39

rounds, 3

days long, of chelation. I probably started out as moderately poisoned

according to

Andy's description in AI. I do have bouts of anxiety still, but I'm so used to

it, that I don't

notice it much until I have a string of days where I'm feeling...what? solid

and focused?

instead of anxious with swirling thoughts? And I definitely have days where I

have much

more energy than others.

So, I thought it would be a good idea to go into the MD and ask for saliva

testing, to peek

at my progesterone levels (and perhaps start progesterone cream) and peek at my

adrenal

function (and perhaps start ACE or Cortisol).

Unfortunately, I didn't see the MD, but dealt with a new nurse practioner

instead. They

gave me a ZRT saliva test and asked me to take the samples on day 15 of my

cycle. The

MD checked off Estradiol, Progesterone, and Diurnal Cortisol.

The nurse practioner then told me that the MD is going on maternity leave very

soon, and

therefore I probably won't get the results back until mid-December, as she is

the only MD

in the practice who can read a saliva test (oh dear). The RN also told me that

the MD

doesn't like to rx Cortisol and prefers herbs, diet changes, and lifestyle

changes first (she

hasn't read Jeffries, has she?)

So, I'm not sure what to do. I can submit this test, and wait for the results.

Or, I can order

the ZRT test from Canary Club (they are running a special, and I can have

thyroid tested

too--although I don't meet the list of hypothyroid symptoms) and get help

interpreting

the test from the net. Is it difficult?

Thoughts?
