Guest guest
Tara- My son has a helmet from Hanger. He is 9 mos old now and has had the helmet a few weeks. The scanning is quick and painless. They will put an elastic type " sock " over your baby's head, covering the face. They will cut a hole in the front so his face pokes out. The " sock " is kind of like an ace cloth bandage material, elasticy and stretchy. They they use the scanner gun. Kind of like the scanner at the grocery store. They told me it didn't matter if the baby moved his head, because the scanner compensates for it. You will see your baby's head image scan on the computer screen, it's cool. Then they take the sock off, and you are free to go. Our helmet took almost 2 weeks to get. But he adjusted very well. The first few days were a little tough, but it's amazing how quickly they become accustomed to it. At first, your child will look funny to you with the helmet. But then you get used to it, and when you take it off for bath time, they look funny without it, kind of bare and bald! Best of luck to you ! Ingrid Mommy of Brett 9mos > > > > > > Good luck Gale!
