Good luck with the fitting! Yes, you are right that most babies adjust

to the bands fairly quickly. My Daughter hardly ever fussed with hers

(until she realized she could open the velcro on it... LOL, then she

liked to open and close the velcro. LOL!). And my Daughter never had

any problems sleeping in hers either.

awesome correction for her plagio. Which Cranial Tech do you go to?

You've heard right, most babies don't mind their bands at all. :-)

Hi Jen,

Thanks for the well wishes! Things are so far so good!! Hallie went

right to sleep as usual, but she has woken up crying once since I

put her to bed. I just comforted her and repositioned her and she

went right back to sleep. Yay!!

My mom went with me and she teared up when we first put the band on.

I kept reassuring her that it's no big deal, but she was obvioulsy

taken aback by it. I wonder if other family members and friends will

react this way. But it's OK...I prepared myself for it and made

peace with it, so I think I can handle it.

But this board is a great support system and resource!

Yah another great update. :-)It's great to hear how well Hallie is

adjusting to her new band. I'm sorry to hear your Mom was upset,

she'll get use to it soon. One day she's going to think Hallie looks

Thanks for welcoming me. So far, Hallie is doing well with her DOC

band. She fell asleep great, but she has woken up twice crying in

the last 2 hours. She goes right back to sleep when I comfort her

and reposition her so I think she'll do Ok.

I will check out your website about your son's band (but I think

I'll wait until tomorrow b/c I better go to bed now in case it's

going to be a long night getting up with Hallie!)

I also read the file on helping baby adjust and I really appreciate

you suggesting that. I haven't really figured out how to navigate

this site yet, so it's nice to know right where to go for tips.

Hi ,

Thanks! Hallie ended up not sleeping so well. After going in there

about 7 times last night, I ended up putting her in bed with me.

Neither of us slept too well after that! I think it's just going to

be a period of adjustment.

We're getting her band painted Monday so I'll post a picture after
