Guest guest
Saw my dr yesterday and got my RAI scan reports yesterday. Recap: follicular 6+ cm tt 94, 2 X ablations, clean scans 96; Tg below 1 until recently: 3, 7, 14, 28, last one 160 while hypo; RAI scan negative, PET scan negative, MRI negative, RAI 155 mci for ablation, 8 & 9 days later scans: report says: three 'abnormal foci of increased activity': thyroid bed, right posterior neck, and left lower posterior thorax. When I asked about surgery, dr said 'doesn't advise going on a hunting expedition, they are small since they didn't show on any other scan, and will assume they are 'treated' with the RAI. Follow up with monthly blood tests for Tg: if Tg goes down, will scan again in 6 months, if goes up, maybe MRI or other scans, another RAI ablation in 6 months. So whatever, I'll be going hypo again in 6 months. Got to enjoy life in a hurry! Any suggestions? Does this qualify me for the 'advanced' sessions? Really looking forward to the LA conference.
