Guest guest
Charlotte, the aches and pains are associated with hypo probs. I hurt so bad it was hard to get out of bed in the mornings. At that point I was on Synthroid, 100mcg and it was still painful. However, within three months of starting Armour Thyroid, I was getting some relief. I really didn't have coordination probs or dizziness, but I would not be suprised if others have not had these syptoms. 50 mcg of synthroid is a good starting dose...but your doc needs to check levels etc...and increase meds. At one week, it is probably a little early to start feeling the effects of the meds. Hope you feel better soon. Guest guest
Yes I ached - but I think not as badly as others have reported. 18 months ago I couldn't climb my stairs, could walk no further than about 200-300 yards, had huge memory and concentration problems, deteriorating eyesight and double vision, digestion problems, swollen joints, flebitis in both legs, deep muscle pain in my calves, headaches, loss of hearing, balance and co-ordination problems and I kept falling over. At 50mcg of thyroxine my symtoms improved a little. At 200mcg of thyroxine I felt much better but still weak. Today my medication changed to 175mcg of thyroxine and 20mcg of T3. I have found myself stretching my arms into the air, making a fan of my fingers and just enjoying having my body back. There is hope! Hang in there! --- katmidg wrote: > Charlotte, the aches and pains are associated with > hypo probs. I > hurt so bad it was hard to get out of bed in the > mornings. Guest guest
Hi, Charlotte.... I have had all the symptoms you are experiencing. The no energy, the feeling so tired I can hardly get myself out of bed, the dizziness, feeling uncoordinated. It's so frustrating, isn't it? I'm only taking 37.5 mcg of Synthroid right now, up from my beginning dosage of 25. I haven't noticed much of a marked improvement yet, but I'm sure I will have to get my dosage up higher before I get any results. Hang in there...it can take about 4-6 weeks before your body really begins to notice the synthroid you're taking. Good luck! -- pain and fatigue Hi just a quick question i started on synthroid 50mcg about a week ago for the past 4 or 5 years i have just hurt so bad and had no energy at all i can sleep for hours on end has anyone had these symptons and have had any improvements after starting medicine are these problems common for thyroid problems also has anyone had any problems with coordination or dizziness associated with thyroid problems thanks charlotte Yahoo!
