Ok, I was waiting for to respond to this. Now I can just add my

little 2 cents, when she's done the whole 10 bucks :-)

Nor am I. I SAW my post RAI scan. Things were lit up all over the

place. My nuc med doc was not the least concerned, because they were

all normal areas of uptake.

I understand your need to get the facts, too, - as a hardheaded

woman raised in the Northeast :-) I'm like that, too. I've spent

endless hours on the internet absorbing things about thyca.

I'm not sure they can give you the facts you really want until you

have a followup scan, which is generally done 6 months to a year after

RAI. Your new endo should get that set up, have you go off your meds

and go hypo and do the LID and have a scan. Have a skilled nuclear

med doc interpret it. See what facts show up then.

You can't get the facts till you have more information, and there just

isn't enough yet. Statistics, as interesting as they may be, aren't

going to give you any real information about your specific situation.

Synthroid and Unithroid are just different brand names of T4

(Levothyroxine). There are several others, and I suspect that there

are folks here using most of them. They're the same medication, with

different fillers. I use Levoxyl
