Welcome to the group. I am sorry to about the loss of your son. I

lost a daughter at 19 weeks so I understand much of what you went

through. My daughter was born alive but died after about 10 minutes.

It is not known if I had an incompetent cervix or if there was an

infection and it is hard not knowing why this happened. It is good

that you were able to hold your son and have that time with him. I

think it helped me with the grief process. I also had retained

placenta and then infection followed by a D & C and that is how I ended

up with AS. I am very thankful that I have my daughter (also born in

2000) but I would like more children. I think the best advice is to

see if you can see an A list doctor for another opinion and I agree

with the others that conceiving with only 50% cleared seems wrong. I

am happy that you found this site and hope that you will receive

answers to your questions and again I am very sorry about you loss.
