Joanne, Thanks for the info. My GI doctor already advised me to schedule a bone density scan after the New Year. I had one years ago but I don't remember what it said. UCLA got a copy of it from the doctor that ordered it when I went in for transplant evaluation back in 2004. They haven't said anything about it since. I guess that means that it wasn't too bad. I'll make sure to get that bone density scan ASAP and will contact the doctors at UCLA about a calcium supplement.
