Guest guest
a, I am NOT shocked by your veganism. I am an ex-vegetarian. Ex because somewhere along the line, I just gave up and starting eating chicken and then meat again. As long as you are getting the proper nutrients from your food, I see no problem with being vegan after surgery. I still eat alot of soy products as well as soy milk. Recovery may actually be easier for you, at least in the soft stage, because you will be able to make so many things with both. Take Care, > Has anyone here recovered from surgery while Vegan? > > Those of you who are shocked at the idea of vegan while recovering, > please read below. Guest guest
a, I am not vegan but I found soy protein powders & shakes (Genisoy for both), soy milk (Vitasoy) and Mori-nu tofu to be really useful for getting lots of protein in post-op. In my opinion (echoed by my dietician) getting lots of protein post-op is key. Sounds like you know what you're doing. Best wishes to you!
