Guest guest
Stacie, When I had a consultation with Dr. Palter, he told me that he often doesn't need to do laparoscopy because he uses an ultrasound while he does hysteroscopy. He said that the ultrasound helps him to know where he is going so he often doesn't need to do laparoscopy. I'm not sure why more surgeons don't use an ultrasound while doing hysteroscopy if it is a way to avoid laparoscopy. Dr. Palter seems to be one of the only ones using this procedure. Anyway, that's how he explained it to me. At the same time, he said that he couldn't guarantee that he wouldn't need to do laparoscopy as well, depending on what the situation is during the surgery. Hope this info didn't confuse you more! Good luck. Helaine
