My husband's last ERCP showed enlarged esophageal varices, so his doc prescribed propranolol to alleviate some of the pressure on the varices. He was taking 60mg and that lowered his rate to about 68 (was mid 70's before med), but the doc wants to get him down to below 60 so he increased the dosage to 80mg. A couple days after increasing the dose he noticed blood when he blew his nose. I was just wondering if anyone else has had an experience with this med and any accompanying side effects.
