GP - Consultant Proscribing Armor

My wife and I both have Hyperthiroidism. I am quite happy and stable

on synthetic throid replacement. My wife was ill for years despite

being on this but was eventualy helped by a doctor in the south of

England and introduced to Armour and was much improved. The doctor

unfortunatly had to give up practicing and we found some one else.

we are not happy with the service being provided as phone calls

faxes are very often not answered and it is often also difficult

getting proscriptions. We are on the Nottinghamshire Lincolnshire

boarder. Does any body know any one to recomend. a certain amount of

traveling is not a problem.

My wife has a problem at the moment as she has returned to the usual

symtems of tiredness etc etc. She had an abnormal blood test result

as follows.

TSH Free T4 Free T3

25/07/05 .01 12.2 14.72

18/8/05 .01 10.5 12.03

She takes both Armor and T3

It seems strange that the T4 is now at the very bottom of the range

when the T3 is way above the top of the range. Can any body help as

we have been trying to contact her Doctor since last Wednesday

without success.
