Guest guest
, I can relate to your experience! Our younger two kids are plagio babies. Our youngest, Cece, was born with a normal head. It flattened under my watch! Even as much as I knew about prevention and repositioning we still ended up banding her. She would have been fine except this summer we spent more time that we should have in the car. She also moved from an Amby Bed to a crib during this time. It's really hard to keep them from getting flat when you've got other kids to take care of. Let us know how it goes! Mom to Dane 4yo (DOC Grad) and Cece 11 mo (DOC Band)

Guest guest
Thanks . It's good to know it's happened to other parents who were " aware " and were still unable to prevent it. Well if insurance agrees to pay will be getting a helmet in 4-6 weeks. Both the ortho and the dr agreed his head measurements fell within the category where we could chose to use corrective means and liked that we came in early for the extra documentation. The ortho felt convinced if we bring him back in one month and she can have those two sets of measurements insurance will pay with no problems (they paid with Colin but you still have to prove necessity etc). I wish he didn't have to have one and I'm dreading the insurance hoops I'll have to jump through but I'm glad we caught it early this time. > > , > I can relate to your experience!
