Thank you . I am glad you are symptom free. I know many people lead very

productive lives with MS. I just am afraid of any diagnosis of a disease. How

long have you been symptom free?

Hi Nahla,

I had my amalgams removed one quadrant at a time (I think it was every

6 weeks or so), worst ones first. I felt somewhat better after the

first removal but I definitely worsened from the whole removal

process. My dentist was highly skilled. I don't think I was exposed

to much mercury. I think I worsened because of the stress.

The important thing now is to make sure that the dentist that you have

now is highly skilled at mercury free dentistry (or find another one)

and have your remaining amalgams removed properly.

It is also important to start on the basic supplements from Andy's

'Amalgam Illness' book. Read the adrenal sections of his book. You

will likely benefit from the diet and supplement modifications that he

suggests. You could try a sulfur food exclusion diet to see if a

sulfur restricted diet would help to make you feel better (it does for

many).

If you can find the doctor/dentist, a vitamin C IV might help.

I do have MS and adrenal insufficiency. Some of my worsening during

the amalgam removal time was just because the whole thing was too

stressful for me. I can see how you must be feeling very stressed

with dealing with dentists and trying to figure out what is best to do

with chelation.

(By the way, Huggins was really out of line to make any diagnosis at

all. Only doctors are allowed to do that. And way out of line to

make it on the phone. It took neurologists TEN years to make my

freaking diagnosis. And it's not all that bad. It has been 15 years

since I had my first MS episode and right now I have NO symptoms of MS).

My suggestion would be to try to find some stress busting techniques.

The ones I have used over the years - music, meditation, prayer,

walking, swimming, thinking positive thoughts.

And also, you can tell yourself to relax a bit because you have found

the right path to take for chelation. By finding Andy Cutler's

methods you have saved yourself from much grief. With time you will

be feeling a lot better.

> I know this group is for mainly discussing chelation, but in Andy's

book he recommends removing amalgams slowly. As many of you

recommended this as well. Which is why I did not go to the Huggins

clinic and am waiting until November.

> Here's the thing, I have been much worse since one quadrant of

amalgams have been removed with the dentist who did not use a rubber

dam and I am very distraught. I was told by Dr. Huggins in a phone

conversation that I have MS (multiple sclerosis). Mind you this was

based on a laundry list of symptoms given over the phone and the fact

that I have a slightly positive ANA..Huggins laughed when I said this

and said, " that's like being only slightly pregnant. "

dentist's office and all my fillings read in the positive. 2 days

later that dentist removed one quadrant of amalgams in the highest

positive. Come to find out, his machinery must be inaccurate because

my new dentist retested my currents and they were all negative. Now I

fear they were not removed sequentially.

not removed in correct sequential order. He even goes on to say in his

book that it can bring on full blown MS.

progressing. Was I nieve to think my symptoms would gradually get

better with each removal? I know some do not get better until they

chelate, but do they feel worse?

with him keeping $1,000 of my deposit when I cancelled. I was not

heppy he diagnosed me with MS after 30 minutes over the phone and no

labs in front of him. He made me believe he was the only Dr. who could

get me better, and while my brain knows better...my heart is sinking.

Could you share with me what was your experience? WHy am I getting

worse???? Do you think there is any claim to the polarity and MS and etc?

as does Andy how fragile our mindset is. Mine has shattered. You may

email me privately if you wish...
