Hello,

I'm not sure if anybody has this info yet. But I'm sure you must have,

But just incase here I go...

My mother got this information from the lady that

re-wallpapered my moms home. The lady has FM and she learned through a

book called something like eating for your blood type. Basically it says

that people with certain blood types should eat these certain foods and

should stay away from certain foods. And it talks about eating certain

foods that will ease up the FM. This lady has to take no medication any

more she does physically active work. wall papering and painting and

such. and she's pain free. She has very few signs of the Fm anymore. My

mom read some in the book. the only thing I can remember for me is in A

neg. blood and with FM I'm supposed to stay away from wheat. You don't

realize it but wheat is in almost everything you eat. This lady has the

same as me and wheat was the big thing for her. Now that she doesn't use

wheat and follows the rest of the diet. She is much better. and darn

near FM free. She is so happy with it. This is the link I found about

it. I thought I had another better one but I cant find it I will keep

looking. here is this one for now. I hope it can help someone.

It sucks for me cause I don't eat enough to make my diet matter. So for

me it's no help but I hope for all of you it will be a help. Taking this

from one person with bad FM she swears by it. good luck and if anybody

does have good luck with it please let me know id be really happy to

hear about it.

Jo,

I agree with you that diet affects fm. My doctor just told me the other day

to stay away from wheat, dairy and chocolate. He claims it flares up the

fibro, so I am going to try to avoid these foods and see what happens. I hate

that you have to look into every thing that we eat to make sure it doesn't

have these cetain ingredients in them but if it will help I am willing to try

anything at this point! He also told me ffor IBS which I also have to avoid

tomatoes....I might as well stop eating..:-( Well hope this info helps

some of any! Good luck!

Irene,

I've been curious about the effects of aspartame for awhile now. While I'm

diligently TRYING to drink more water, I am absolutely addicted to Diet

Pepsi and have been for years and years. I've cut back from probably 10 12

oz. cans a day to about 6, but I still absolutely crave those 6 cans. I

can drink some fruit juice, but the sugar in it is bad for my insulin

absorption problem (just added glucophage a couple of months ago - yet

ANOTHER med!), and with the new pain meds and muscle relaxants, I'm always

thirsty and have significant problems with dry mouth (probably also from

the Serzone). Sometimes nothing but the diet pepsi will take away the

" thirsties " . I've even tried substituting Diet Rite cola, which uses

Splenda instead of aspartame, but can't drink it because it tastes too

sweet. I started drinking Tab way back during my early teenage years, and

I've been a diet soda drinker for well over 30 years now - what effect has

all this aspartame had on my system???

I'm glad you are at least trying to have a sense of humor about now

having to use the diapers! They fall under the category of " things we

don't want to talk or know about " for most people (not those of us on

list), sort of like chronic pain and fatigue. You're suppose to mention

them one or twice to people and after that, they don't want to hear

about your pain or fatigue. You're suppose to suffer through it, like

they do. (rolling my eyes). Anyway, I just wanted to say, in collage, I

had a friend who was always having to stop at bathrooms all of the

time. She drank a lot of diet sodas. I finally figured it out after I

started drinking a lot of (full sugar) sodas! I was having to run to

the bathroom all of the time too! Of course, now my beloved cokes don't

taste good anymore, and I can't drink the diet drinks, so it's water for

me almost 100% of the time. I still run to the bathroom all of the

time!
