Guest guest
Hi T, It's sounds like you got a lot accomplished at your dr's appt. today. That's great. Yes, following your beta down to zero sounds all too familiar for me. It can be agonizing, but it's swift for most. Can you remind us what a molar pregnancy is? I thought it was similar to a blighted ovum that is in the uterus. I wasn't aware that metho was given for molar pgs too. As far as metho goes, everyone's side effects vary. I had metho twice and didn't really feel much except for some minor cramping. I was told that some more severe pain would occur around 7 days after the shot, but it never did for me. I think nauseau is also a common side effect. They wrote me a prescription for anti-nausea medication, but I didn't end up needing it. I totally relate to the crying part too--I balled so hard right there in the dr's office. It was a horrible experience. It will get easier, but allow yourself to grieve your loss. Here's hoping your numbers go down quickly. When's your next test-- in a week?

Guest guest
T Boy, you had a very busy day...I am glad the dr did further testing and was able to figure out what was going on. My neighbor, had been doing ivf and found out she was mc and than hcg was not going down at all, they did further test and found out she there was something in tube...she also had an ep! (she had surgery two days before I did) I hope you are feeling better soon. I am happy to hear your db was so helpful. You are both lucky to have each other. Take care and rest. --- laurfie1@... wrote: > hi all, > I had the dr apt and it was alot more than i > expected! > lots of lab work and time! the mc in Jan of 01 > was/is a molar pg > I was treated it methotrexate (spelling?) and i have > to have my hcg > levels checked every week until it is 0 sound > familiar to anyone? > anyhow I just thought i would mention that i think i > am already > having some side effects I am very nauseated, sore > at injection > sites, amd have a terrible taste in my mouth also a > headache but that > is most likely from crying!last week at dr apt when > hcg went back > up...its been on a rollor coaster... the dr decided > to do more > testing than what he had orriginally planned which > is good because we > found the probnothing was found on the u/s i had > done not long ago > because it is too small to be seen but it all came > up on the > bloodwork that was done last week and today so that > is good! > the metho injection was done thi morning > anyhow I am feeling a bit better knowing i am not > loosing my mind and > when i said that to my dr he laughed and said he > never thought i was, > And that he knows i am not going crazy that when > your body send > conflicting messages how could i not be confused! > He also said to > call he wants to know how i am fairing with the > metho and if i need > anything just to let the office know and he will do > his best! as > usual my hubby was a rock and held me through the > whole thing! Guest guest
, What a morning you had! I am glad that your doctor looked further to find out exactly what was going on, and hopefully it's all good from here on out. I am sorry that the metho is giving you such bad side effects, and I hope that you will be feeling better soon. From when we chatted the other night, your husband does sound like a rock, and I am so glad that he could be there for you. You know that I feel the same way about mine. Feel better! Maggie laura dr apt results hi all, I had the dr apt and it was alot more than i expected! lots of lab work and time! the mc in Jan of 01 was/is a molar pg I was treated it methotrexate (spelling?) and i have to have my hcg levels checked every week until it is 0 sound familiar to anyone? anyhow I just thought i would mention that i think i am already having some side effects I am very nauseated, sore at injection sites, amd have a terrible taste in my mouth also a headache but that is most likely from crying!last week at dr apt when hcg went back up...its been on a rollor coaster... the dr decided to do more testing than what he had orriginally planned which is good because we found the probnothing was found on the u/s i had done not long ago because it is too small to be seen but it all came up on the bloodwork that was done last week and today so that is good! the metho injection was done thi morning anyhow I am feeling a bit better knowing i am not loosing my mind and when i said that to my dr he laughed and said he never thought i was, And that he knows i am not going crazy that when your body send conflicting messages how could i not be confused! He also said to call he wants to know how i am fairing with the metho and if i need anything just to let the office know and he will do his best! as usual my hubby was a rock and held me through the whole thing! I am truley blessed to have him~!!! take care all! and thanks for being there! mom to 3 in heaven, and 2 here on earth.
