Guest guest Posted February 4, 2003 Report Share Posted February 4, 2003 WOW! Our stories are just alike. I too had two m/c both were for blighted ovum pregnancies followed by D & C;s. I waited 12wks after the last d & C 7/12/02 then went to my OB/GYN with the same story of intense pain. He put me on a course of premarin for 21dys, that did not work so he did Premarin 21dy and provera 7dys for 2 months. Nothing happened. I called him in Dec to report this and was told to call him back in Jan to " get the ball rolling " after the holidays. Thank God I came across this site in the mean time and just knew I had AS. I got a second opinion 1wk later on Dec 13 and she imediatly (sorry for spelling errors) ordered an HSG. They could not inject hardly any dye and I was then diagnosised with AS. I too get severe abdominal pains every month and was told it was back flow bleeding. I was referred to a reproductive endo a week ago and will be having a hysto/laparoscopy on Feb. 17. Please, if you are not getting anywhere with your current GYN, get a second opinion or atleast ask her to do a HSG. I also wrote a letter to the Planned Parenthood Clinic (where I had to get the D & C's) explaining what I have been through as a result of the " agressive " D & C's, I feel if we do not tell them, how are they to change their procedures. I may never get to have my own child as a result. Also, the RE is ordering a chromosone (caryotype) testing because of the blighted ovum pregnancies.
