Guest guest
snip>I'm having the same thoughts here. Seems like a person would have to have one continuous dosing schedule while on T3. If you couldn't take it exactly on time, what would happen to some body systems that need it every minute of every day? Assuming this thread is resulting from the info I posted about a nat'path (sorry she's Canadian not American) who suggested using T3 only - the bit that's missing for you is that they also treat you with herbs, supplements and dietary changes so you'd be *making* your own T4. The idea is to stop the AI reaction, heal the gland and hence no more problem so the T3 can be withdrawn over time and if all goes well, you should be okay. - I understand your frustration (almost demanded a hysterectomy once and am glad I didn't) - have you considered natural therapies? If you get an excellent practitioner, they work on the *whole* of you, not just a single gland. I've seen too much success in a variety of situations to disregard them. If *I* were you, which I'm not, I'd probably extinguish all possibilities before going under the knife. Donna in Oz.
