Hello,

A few months back I went to an orthodontist who noticed I had a slight

underbite. He tried getting me to go to an oral surgeon, but I told him I

couldn't afford it and asked him if he could work around it. He assured me he

could and that I didn't have to go see an oral surgeon. That is until a few

visits later after I have all the hardware stuck on my teeth, he tells me if I

don't see an oral surgeon, I'm making him work with one hand tied behind his

back and I'm assuming all the risks. I have two questions. 1) Do orthodontists

get kickbacks from oral surgeons? and 2) if I stop orthodontic treatment, will

my teeth move back to their original positions? By the way, the orthodontist

seemed to get annoyed when I went to a different oral surgeon than to whom he

referred me.
