Amy,

Hello and welcome to the group! You'll probably get lots of

responses to this, and I am pretty sure there is a file under the

links or in the files section that has sticker sites. We are also

using the STARband, and have it just the plain white. I change the

stickers all the time and love it. I am kind of a freak, and go nuts

with them. I sometimes do use the paper backed stickers, but they

are quite hard to remove. I use Goo Gone (bought @ Walmart) to

remove the crud before I reapply new stickers. The clear backed ones

(stickopotomus sp?) work the best. I frequent a scrapbook store,

where they have loads and loads of stickers. I do themes, and today

it's all sports.

Have fun with it... :)

Kim

mom to Kaela 11-- no issues

Jaxson 2.5 -- born with tort and plagio, wore CranioCap 4.5 months

had Craniotomy w/reconstruction of skull Jan 05 for plagio now looks

great

Eli 7 months - tort and plagio, wearing STARband #1 now for almost

3 months, will soon be in band #2

Hi Amy,

Stickers are a lot of fun. I get the clear backed very thin ones at

Hobby Lobby, s, Scrapbook stores, Walmart, and Target. I

look everywhere I go. The Vellum ones do not stick as well because

they tend to be thicker. When na had her band clear backed

stickers were easy to find. Now that scrapbooking is huge the

stickers are fanicer and don't work as well. Also stick to small

stickers, less than 1 " (1/2 - 3/4 " is best) for letters and about 2 "

X 2 " for the characters and stuff. Any bigger and the letters won't

fit on the front or you can't get the sticker to lay flat around the

curves.

In the files section there is a folder for decorating with ideas and

tips for painting. The material is similar to a DOC band so the

tips should work fine. No sanding to make the plastic rougher.

That's a big no no for structural integrity purposes.

Amy,

Hi. I just wanted to say that we also went with a plain white

STARband for my daughter and I have been decorating it with

stickers. I got them at a craft store, they have TONS of stickers to

choose from.

Hi Kim,

Thanks for the warm welcome! I went to the files section and found

the sticker sites you were talking about. I think I'm going to go

looking around this weekend in my area first and see if I can find

anything good at the craft stores. I'm so glad that you're enjoying

decorating your son's band. It gives me hope that this won't be so

bad!
