Guest guest
Hi all, My youngest son Eli is 7 months and not able to sit. I did buy the bumbo seat, and had to return it... Eli is too fat to fit in there. His thighs won't squeeze in there. I know Walmart has a seat similar called the Bebe seat or something like that, but before we bought that one I tried it and it didn't work either -- he's too big. Anyone know of any other options? I'd like to find something for my pleasantly round lil one. Kim

Guest guest
Hi Kim! What about the Boppy pillow? Maybe that would help him to sit up? I've seen them but have never had one. I also have a Bumbo but I don't have to worry about "chunkiness" as Kaitlyn was only 4lbs 11oz at birth, she is now 10 1/2 months old and only weighs 16lbs! She is still my lil' peanut! Sorry if I'm not much help but the Boppy pillow is what came to mind and I think it might work! Guest guest
What we use to do for my son was to put him on the ground and have him sit with the boppy pillow around him. See if that works. Guest guest
We had bought a Bumbo for my youngest Daughter to keep her off her head when she was about 4 months old or so. She hated it. She didn't look comfortable in it and would push with her feet and almost pushed herself over the back of it! So, I sold it. We used to put her in her excersaucer and prop her in it with some rolled up towels to keep her upright.
