Hi ,

You made me laugh out loud with the " they expect the royal

treatment " bit. I'm still chuckling! Last night we took the band

off to see if the pink spot would ever fade completely and frankly I

needed the sleep. Also, I thought if it's anything besides the band

(ear, teething, UTI) she'd still cry. She slept for 12.5 hours,

woke up cooing and gurgling and patiently waited for me to come and

get her. I got my little Olivia back. Little turkey. She just

hates the band and is very dramatic about telling me so here we were

just jumping to conclusions (on the advice of the OT) that it must

be something else after 8 days. Nope. She jsut hates the band.

I have read all the sleep books and I attribute both of my awesome

sleepers to those books. That's the pickle I worry about. I don't

want it to become a habit. However, last night she slept straight

through. No habit forming apparently...she just needed to train mom

in her opinion to take the band off.

Tonight and from here on, on it goes (and stays on). We are going

to let her cry now that we have ruled out any physiological

reasons. It's just hard to ignore possible discomfort. If it was

pure frustration I could probably deal with it better.

Wish me luck! I will keep you posted on how tonight goes!
