I've been putting my lotion bars in 2 oz. double-wall cream jars;

once they're cooled down, just turn them over and smack 'em squarely against

the counter, and they generally pop loose with a

few whacks (I know this sounds funny, and I have been razzed when I tried

explaining it to someone else....but it works!) A couple times the bars

have been tough to break loose, but after some time in the freezer they

popped free finally. I did break a cover once when I hit it too hard

though! Now I'll do it before I put the cover on. But the cream jars do

work good since they're strong and the cover stays on securely, and I like

to hold the whole bar in my hand when I use it.

(Also, the jars were a better deal than deodorant containers at the time!)

I did a sample one in a tin and yes the lip for the cover interferes with the

removal of the lotion bar. You could bang away all day and it's not coming

out! Maybe make the lotion bar in another container with smooth sides as a

mold, pop it out and then put into the tin??
