Guest guest
, I'm glad to hear did well during his casting We had UHC when Ds was banded. I will always have a personal vendetta against them! What was the reason they gave you for the denial? There is an atty in Dallas that some members have used in the past to write a letter as part of their appeal. I remember one member in particular got full coverage with his help. He was diagnosed with plagiocephaly by his pediatrician. He had the plaster cast made of his head on February 16th and we are waiting for his doc band through Cranial Technologies. I was feeling like I did something wrong and that is why has a flat back of the head but my pediatrician reassured me I did everything I could and then let me in on the fact that his daughter had to have the same thing done. It made me feel better! We have gone to Cranial Technologies in Dallas and so far I am happy with them. They really do as much as they can to put the babies at ease. did really well during the whole casting procedure and only fussed once. Any advice anyone has on appealing insurance would be greatly appreciated. We are paying cash now until our insurance can be appealed with United Healthcare. > > Thank you, > > flyingchef777@... > > > --------------------------------- > Autos. Looking for a sweet ride? Guest guest
, No insurance help here for United, but wanted to welcome you to the group. I am glad you have had a good experience with CT so far and I am sure you will continue to. My son was treated by CT in Virginia, and we have had wonderful results. Guest guest
Do you have the name of the attorney? We are on United Health Care and are having to pay for our son Austin's procedure. We would like to appeal this. They are claiming that it is an orthodic device (a device used to shape the bone and body parts) and that would not be covered under the plan. Anyone have any points of interest on fighting this one? - Angie > > > > Hi, > > > > I'm new to the group. My name is and my son, , is 5 > months old. Guest guest
We are currently working on an appeal with United as well, although the reason they gave us was slightly different. Let me know if you have any luck or make any headway. We have currently been calling them everyday for the last week to try to get the full wording from our policy so we can know more clearly what we are up against. -Mom of Grace > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > I'm new to the group. Guest guest
If united does not pay get an attorney. We had trouble under that plan also but for not covering my sons surgery. they paid the surgeon but not the hospital stay go figure we hired an attorney and once he sent them a letter they paid the whole thing. mimi--- In Plagiocephaly , " tvanhout " <tvanhout@...> wrote: > > We are currently working on an appeal with United as well, although > the reason they gave us was slightly different.
