Guest guest
I thought I saw this post before but I can't find it in the archives so I am going to post it anyway. My son had his head scanned it the starscanner last week and there are a bunch of numbers on the print out they gave us. I should have asked what they meant when we were there but i didn't see them until I got home. Can anybody tell me what these mean and what a " normal number would be " . Guest guest
Our STARscan result also includes a measurement defined as HT. Does anybody know what that stands for? Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Molly and Haylee, I am totally curious about these numbers as well. I wish I knew what to compare them to. On our print out I have some of those numbers, but others as well. I didn't get an ear measurement, and that is what I am really curious about. I'll have to ask at the next visit. It would be nice if we knew what the normal, mild, moderate and severe ranges were. Or at least what we are shooting for with correction! If you figure anything out, please let me know! Thanks. Guest guest
Hi Molly, Haylee, and , welcome!! You can find an explanation of the Starscanner measurements in our Files section. There is a word document called " Starscanner reports. " Hope this helps! beth Files > STARscanner Reports > > > > Our STARscan result also includes a measurement defined as HT. > Does anybody > > know what that stands for? Guest guest
I looked at that report but there is still no explanation as to what HT or Cranial Vault Asymmetry Index (CVAI) stands for and what the proper range is. Anybody know? Guest guest
Normal 0-3mm very mild <6 mm mild (but warrants banding) 6-10mm moderate (definite banding) 10-15 mm severe (even the clueless drs get it) 15+ mm These are what we usually here from the orthos. na, DOC Grad Feb 04, Tort Resolved Kiersten, DOC Band 1/10/06, Tort www.thefilyaws.com/plagio/plagio.html > > > > Our STARscan result also includes a measurement defined as HT. > Does anybody > > know what that stands for?
