Hi ,

I've been having my daughter treated for tort and plagio at the

Edmonton University Hospital Plagio clinic. The first doctor we saw

was Dr Mehta. We took her three times to see him at 4 mths, 7 mths

and around 10 mths and all times he said she would likely improve

but wasn't severe enough for a doc-band. When she was around 10 1/2

mths I saw another physiotherapist who took pity on us and sent us

up to see Dr Ronnik. He is our saviour and advised me immediately to

get a band for her. I guess the two doctors view plagio differently.

I was very upset that it took this long to get someone to help us.

With that said, if your sister-in-law sees anyone, tell her to

request Dr Ronnik.

Edmonton no longer uses the doc-band and have begun making their own

helmet in their orthopedic department. I wouldn't worry about it

being too much different as it basically looks the same with a few

changes. Also you're able to choose the colour of the band/helmet or

patterned design which I think is interesting.

Hope this helps.
