Will waiting 2 weeks make a big difference?

My son is 5 1/2 months and I cancelled an appointment he had today to

get casted for his helmet on the advice of our physical therapist.

The therapist said she is seeing small gains in his measurements and

convinced me to hold off 2 more weeks before getting casted.

Basically, that will put him getting in an acutal helmet around 6 1/2

months instead of 6. I'm not sure why she wants me to wait. I will

say she is very experienced in this field and has a great reputation.

Hope I made the right decision. Any thoughts?
