It's made for folks who have to be on oxygen all the time which dries out the nasal passages terribly (particularly in winter when the heat is running all the time). It will help heal and keep it from feeling so uncomfortable. A couple of other similar remedies would be to use vitamin E oil or aloe gel. Any of those should help you. Guest guest Posted October 2, 2006 Report Share Posted October 2, 2006 , It sounds like your INR (this measures how quickly or how slowly your blood clots) is up - part of the liver not working properly, which is why it is included in the MELD score. Your transplant coordinator should take the nose bleeds seriously and have you get some labs to find out...Regardless, I'm sure the humidifier might help get you more comfortable.
