Guest guest
I just read the file on school attendence issues. The lady at our local health food store had mentioned that if we had a firm diagnosis and he had learning difficulties he would be elidgible for free school lunches that would have to meet this needs -- well, there is not mental handicap that I'm aware of and I certainly don't want to make one up for the sake of a " may be " safe lunch when ours from home will be safe. However, the file was pointing in a different direction -- what is ADA? What is the name of the edu act that would cover food allergies and metabolic diseases? Does this apply in VA? Any experiences in VA? Currently our little guy is in preschool and his teacher has a family member with CD, so she is pretty good. But I know that hand washing after playing with say play dough isn't being done and other little cross contamination things. Any information that would point me in the right direction would be great. I already have our oldest at public school, he will be tested for CD end of Feb. So, I'd like to be ready, if he comes back positive.
