Today was day 3 and Chase is doing very well with the DOCband. He

sleeps fine, gets around fine during the day basically he hasn't

complained a bit but he's normally like that very easy going. My

only problem is teething. He got his first 2 teeth at once on the

bottom and he was barely eating. :( and normally he was eating like

crazy every 2 hours during the day. He drinks pumped breast milk

because of the tort. he was not able to actually breast feed

initially and we just continued the pumping. Now it's odd with his

teeth he wants to actually breastfeed sometimes. He seems to want

extra comforting.

I've been using tylenol, teething tables, cold washclothes for him to

chew on, cold rubber teethers everything I can think of and today

seemed a bit better but it's a struggle. We just started cereal and

veges and he's barely had any because of his lack of eating. I'm

hoping it stays ok like today. I have extras fears like all of us.

He's only had a little rice cereal and about a teaspoon of peas. :(

My doctor went over all this stuff he needs to do and with the band

and the tort. there's so much to do it's overwhelming at times.

Thank gosh my husband helps so much. I was thinking I can't imagine

doing this alone. It's a struggle to just get the bath and band

cleaning done in the 1 hour. Then the exercises and PT and OT I

could just scream. It's day 3 and 3 months seems so so long.

by the way does anyone know how long it takes for the tort to get

better. We're so diligent with the exercise and it's been about 4

months. :( and with the teething he will barely do any exercise too

Anyway if anyone has any miracle cure for teething I'd appreciate any

tips.
