As others have said, Cytomel can be a bit of a roller coaster, especially when

you are going hypo for a scan.

The amount of Cytomel you are taking is equivalent to 200 mcg T4 (Synthroid,

etc.), which should be enough to keep you from feeling too hypo. However,

because the half life is so short, it can

lead to lots of peaks and valleys in the course of a day. You may want to try

taking 1/2 a pill four times a day; also taking the Cytomel on an empty stomach

should help with absorption.

To answer your last question - the bad news is, it will most likely get worse

when you go off the Cytomel.

Now is the time to do as many chores as possible, including preparing for the

LID. If you can prepare and freeze some meals, or even just some baked goods,

you will thank yourself when the time

comes.
