Hi. I do know a little bit about yeast infections in the mouth. The

stuff you are on is the systemic, I think, and will probably tend to

it pretty quickly. (I hope so, for his sake.)

A couple of other ideas: The stuff Donna is talking about is probably

Nystatin, which is a swish-it kind of thing. There are also some

lozenges he could suck on (Mycolex, I think they're called) -- but I

think both of those things are probably prescription.

What is not prescription, but is a real mess, is a liquid called

Gentian Violet. You could get some of that and using a q-tip, paint

it around the affected area. WARNING: It stains, big time, and will

turn his mouth purple!

A lot of people do have trouble with dribbling and drooling, post op.

Many have found that keeping a towel or a cloth nearby helps -- but

if you go for the gentian violet, be prepared to sacrifice whatever

cloths you use. The stuff will not come out, in my experience.
