has anyone taken low dose accutane for rosacea with any success?

i've taken accutane before but that was for the treatment of acne

(before i had my rosacea diagnosed).it was really drying and i think

it made seb derm on my face more potent(lot more flakes).it didn't

help my rosacea, but i think it's because the dose was way too high.

if accutane is taken at really low doses(or the correct

dose..whatever that is) maybe the rosacea can be helped...i'm

guessing.

i'm currently using rosacea ltd..with little success after around one

and a half months.has anyone had real good success with rosacea ;td

also?

thanks

I've taken both high dose 40mg/day and low dose 10mg/day. The low

dose is great without too much drying. Even try 10mg every other day

for several months-I've read one report about taking it for up to 9

months. This might only be prescribed for males as birth defects for

women occur. Women usually get shorter term/higher dose. Good luck.

I'm taking accutane (5mg per day) for cea. It is working *very well* at

preventing papules/pustules/acne. To achieve an average of 5mg per day I just

take one 10mg pill every other day.

you really don't have to use much--have you tried just touching the

disc(s) to wet face? If I overuse the discs, they can really irritate

and dry the skin...also, I seem to do better on the brown (tan) disc;

but use the sulfur one occasionally, too
