Guest guest
Are babies supposed to roll over at 5 mos? Seems young to me. Mine were all 6-7 months. Don't worry! :-) > > Katelyn is 5 months 2 weeks and still cannot roll over...I have a feeling > its a delay due to the tort/plagio...anyone else experience this? Guest guest
My son had tort and plagio and he rolled over at 4 months. I know babies who didn't roll over until 6 months. All babies are different, so don't worry too much. My son wore his DOC Band from 4.5 months to 9.5 months and he started walking at 8 months (didn't crawl until 9). We saw no delays of any kind while he wore his band. Edina Mom to Ethan - DOC Grad, tort resolved > > Katelyn is 5 months 2 weeks and still cannot roll over...I have a feeling > its a delay due to the tort/plagio...anyone else experience this? Guest guest
Hi Becky, My son was 5 months old on Friday and just started to roll a week ago. His PT has been working on rolling for the last three weeks so I'm sure that's why he got it when he did. Maybe you could ask your PT for some rolling exercises. Essentially, it's just a matter of pushing them through it. Everyday I tried to help him less and less. I definitely wouldn't worry though. Katelyn will get it soon. 5 months tort and plagio Doc Band tomorrow! > > Katelyn is 5 months 2 weeks and still cannot roll over...I have a feeling > its a delay due to the tort/plagio...anyone else experience this? Guest guest
Becky, Dominick got his Doc band the day he turned 5 months old and he was not rolling over. Within two weeks of getting the band he was going in both directions!!!! Amazing what a round back of the head can do for them! I hope the same happens for you, but if not contact Early Intervention in your state for an evaluation. Guest guest
Hello Becky My daughter Willow didn't roll over till she hit about 91/2 months. I don't think you need to be worried just yet. Ask your PT what excersizes you can do with Katelyn to help her out, but please don't worry just yet. Many babys don't roll at her age. Guest guest
Becky, My daugter will be 7 months old on Tuesday and does not roll over on a regular basis. She can roll onto her tummy no problem but seems to have a problem with tummy to back. Your daughter just turned 5 months so I wouldn't be too worried. I brought up to concern with our ped at our 6 month checkup and she said that as long as she has rolled over a few times that she wasn't worried about it. I am sure Katelyn will roll over in time. Guest guest
Hi Becky, I'm late reading the posts but I wanted to tell you that my son got his doc band at exactly 5 months and could not do anything. Within 2 weeks of having the band on and 1 week of PT he rolled from belly to back and a week later from back to belly. So don't worry! Things will defintely get better. Also some of my nieces didn't roll over till 7 months. Every baby reaches milestones at a differently.
