Guest guest
Carol Wow what a busy few days. You need a vacation! I wish Dom and Carly a speedy recovery. Chase isn't eating well at all either for a few weeks too. He just started eating only a few weeks ago and we've barely progressed past a few spoons. Since he was sick in Dec. he's never been the same. He used to eat every 2 hours and be starving. He had a horrible bout of a stomach virus, vomited for 10 days, the only time he was ever sick. So I don't know what's going on with him. He was teething too since then but it seems to be dragging on too long. I can barely work on introducing new foods I'm struggling to get him to drink enough milk. And of course like all moms I feel guilty thinking I'm not feeding him enough. He doesn't seem to be in any pain and no fevers or anything so I'm not sure what's going on. His last ped. appt. he gained 3 lbs in like 1 1/2 months which is nothing for him and he only grew 3/4 of an inch, only his head grew (pre DOCband due to ins!) Anyway hang in there you're a great mom! Sherry Chase (6 3/4 months) tort DOCband 2/15 NYC --- In Plagiocephaly , " Carol G.
Guest guest
Sherry, Yes he will still need his glasses. He has two problems, the strabismus(crossing) and then he is farsighted and that causes him to not only see well but cross slightly too. The suregry took care of the Strabimus so now his glasses can improve his vision and help with the slight crossing that is from that. As he grows he may improve enough to be without glasses, but probably not until he is closer to teenage. Guest guest
Sherry, Yes he will still need his glasses. He has two problems, the strabismus(crossing) and then he is farsighted and that causes him to not only see well but cross slightly too. The suregry took care of the Strabimus so now his glasses can improve his vision and help with the slight crossing that is from that. Guest guest
Carol, I was away for the weekend so I didn't get to read about Dominick until tonight. I am glad to hear that the surgery went well. I hope that his ear infection has gotten better. I really really hope that Carly is feeling better and eating and drinking more. 10 pounds is a lot for a little kid. You sound like you have been going through quite a bit lately I can only imagine how tired you must be. Sounds like you could use a day at the spa!!LOL. You and your family are in my thoughts and I hope you are all doing well. Oh yeah, I checked out Dominick's pictures and all I can say is that his eyes look like they hurt but I hope they don't.
