Guest guest
Doreen, The cereals that I have found still safe are Maltomeal's fruity dynobites (sounds kind of like dog food huh?) and Fruity Pebbles from Post. I am not sure about the Cocoa Pebbles though. The others you can get at the Health Food stores that are GF have very little if any nutritional value. They are a lot of sugar with 4% iron and 4% vitamin C in the one. I have come to the conclusion that cereals are more of a once in awhile treat than morning breakfast for my kids. The other cereal we use is the Mighty Tasty GF Hot Cereal by Bob's Red Mill. But it is also lacking in nutrients. It has 2% Vitamin A and 6% Iron. That makes me sad since I try to make every bite count both for calories and for nutrients that my daughter eats. I had someone offer to pick up some of the safe Safeway Corn Pops but I figured I might as well get use to the idea now than later. Hope you might find some more varieties. Happy Holidays? NO! NO! NO! MERRY CHRISTMAS! YES!!!!!! YES!!!!!!
Guest guest
Cocao Pebbles are safe (barring any potential cross-contamination issues). Are you sure Maltomeal's cereals are safe? I know that is why I switched to Post Cocoa Pebbles, because their chocolate variety now contains wheat starch. Please check the label.
