Guest guest
Has any one else gone through a small-bowel follow-through for Dxing celiac? Mine is tomorrow morning. I've read online what to expect from the procedure, but I'm wondering if any one else can tell me something I don't already know. F'rinstance: - how late will my hubby have to go to work? - how gag-horrific is the stuff you have to drink? - do they take precautions for the fertility-related body parts (lead apron), or do you have to take your chances in that regard? - can I wear clothes if there are no metal parts, or do I have to hang around between photo shoots in those wonderful hospital johnies? And perhaps most importantly of all, did the SBFT give *useful* additional information to you? background: my blood work indicates possible celiac, but my biopsy was negative, but gluten-free has worked miracles, and each additional accidental gluten episode makes me sicker than before. So this SBFT is going to look for scalloping of the small intestine. Esther in RI
