E. DeBakey VA Medical Center now a liver transplant center

The Department

of Veterans Affairs has designated the

E. DeBakey VA Medical Center as a

liver transplant center. The VA Medical Center joins Portland,

Oregon; Nashville,

Tenn.; Pittsburgh,

Penn.; and Richmond,

Va.; VA medical centers offering liver

transplantation to veterans as an appropriate therapy for end-stage liver

disease.
