Guest guest
I've been struggling with an Early Intervention therapist sick, vacation bla bla anyway Chase used to go to an OT prior to EI kicking in and she was wonderful. We learned alot from her and he was doing great and his tort. had improved a lot. Even his plagio. since our original CT before pictures has imporved as he was moving his neck much better. Early Intervention kicked in and I've been unhappy with the PT for many reasons. I got some of them resolved, I think, but I'm still not happy. I spoke to the provider and they said about 3 weeks ago give her 2 weeks see how it goes. So my question is since I know most of us have PT too does the therapist do and suggest exercises on their weaker side only? The OT had said that you really need to do both to eventually even them out. For example many of the floor exercises/stomach the PT will have him reach with the left hand only and he's holding himself with the stronger right arm. The OT said have him reach with the right and then he'll need to hold himself up with the left and build strength which makes sense to me. Also we have family training 1 hour a week and I feel this time is wasted and a better therapist would utilize it better. She basically just asks me do you have any questions. I saved my questions all week so there would be something to say when normally I'd ask right away during the therapy during the week This is one of my issues with her. I wish I could just change therapists and hope I have better luck with the next one. Sherry Chase (6 1/2 months) tort. DOCband 2/
