For me, I just use what ever oil suits me at the time. So, IMO, yes you can infuse your calendula into any oil, and if you are adding some superfatting at trace, you can use your " special " oils also. I would chose just one oil for each batch though. Is it best to get a really > >light colored olive oil when you use calendula petals instead of the > >cheaper greenish olive oil? > > > >Thanks, Janet Jojoba is excellent, but expensive......what you are looking for here is an oil with a long shelf life. Almond is usually the oil of choice. Don't forget to add vitamin e to the infusion to act as a " preservative " . btw, avocado is one of my FAVORITE soap oils.......
