Guest guest
Hey , Your not the only one having troubles with talking. It gets frusterating doesn't it? I always have a pen and piece of paper to be able to talk to people whether I'm at the store, mall, or work. I had upper/lower surgery on May 29th. I'm wired and I have a splint in place which makes talking not happen. I went back to work today. I'm a dental assistant and it was easy communicating. My first patient had 15 teeth extracted, so we both were mumbling and actually we understood eachother for the most part haha. My doctor wishes he could get all the other girls wired too after today I have three weeks left being wired and I cannot wait to talk. I have so much to say!!! Hang in there. How's everything else going post op? I still have lots of numbness in my upper lip and nose..some slight swelling too. What is genio? I see it all over this web site and have no idea what it means. Guest guest
Thanks for the reply. Genio is when they move your chin as well. I find it frustrating that it takes so long to recover - a much more difficult process than I imagined and I did my research. I can't imagine being wired as I am struggling with elastics and a splint and I can take them out to eat. You are remarkable to go back to work already. I had mine of the 28th of May and am no where near ready. The numbness and tightness of my face is so frustrating and irritating. I teach so my life depends on me talking clearly. I'm sorry to whine I just feel so flustered and don't know how to get out of it. Please keep in contact. Thanks > Hey , > Your not the only one having troubles with talking.
