Guest guest
Hi Doreen - It's not just your posts. I was out of town for 6 days and came back to read posts on the website. Many of the posts had posted to the site several days after the date on the post itself. If was confusing because I started reading posts on the list from Dec 29, and the headers were saying Dec 26. Probably just some yahoo glitch. It was really on alot of posts over the last week or so. Sue in Denver > > As you can see , that was posted on December 30th and never made it on line till Jan 2 ! All my posts to this group are like that. They take days and then all show up at once. I wonder what gives ? > Doreen > > > Note from SillyYak: > Delayed posts usually mean that either Yahoo is running slow, or you are on moderated posts. Members who are on moderated posts must have all posts approved by the moderator before they appear on the message board. A member can be put on moderated status if they are new to the group, if they are a GF vendor/salesperson, have posted offensive or inaccurate posts, or have had other members complain about inappropriate posts. We have had members get banned because of their inability to follow the simple rules of being a SY member... to remain a positive outlook on things and to keep this forum one that is geared toward Celiac Disease and/or a gluten free diet. For example, right now there are some members on moderate mode because they just insist on trying to post religious messages or sales ads on this site. If I get 2-3 offline complaints (directly to my mailbox) from members who are offended by a particular member, then the member in question gets moved to moderated status. I am here to operate this site, have fun, learn from others, share info, etc. I am not here to spend all of my free time moderating posts from the 1,500 members who are now members. So, those are the simple rules of this forum. When a moderated member shows a pattern of good netiquette, then they get removed from moderated status. Hope this helps. (Also, I have been traveling during the holidays, so there are some moderated posts that are backlogged, as I am still catching up). Your membership status will be moved to unmoderated at this time. > > > > Re: Passover and GF oat matza > > > Have you seen the price ??? If our ancestors had to pay that much for Motzah, they would never have eaten it. > > I love Motzah and will miss it if I have to.I don't think G-d will hold it against you if you substitute rice crackers or whatever you can eat and remain healthy. > > My daughter has had diabetes since she was age two. At one point she told our Rabbi that on Yom Kippur she is giving up soda so that she is infact ,suffering too.He explained that G-d doesn't want anyone to be ill and the point of fasting is not to suffer but to spend all your time praying. He said she is not expected to give up anything since her health is at risk. > > Just take that advice and add it to Passover. G-d doesn't want you to be ill.Enjoy the traditional foods as much as possible and don't worry about the rest. Your health is the most important. > Doreen- off to Temple for the Hanukah celebration right now. >
