Guest guest
Hi, I would appreciate some advice. I have a reatiner at the moment as my ortho decided to take off my fixed brace for a while and put it back on again before my surgery. The thing is that it has beome slightly lose, and if I try (which I probally shouldn't) i can nearly make come off at the frount with my tounge. I cant decided whether I should make an appoinment to see my ortho or just wait until my next appoinment in about 3 months. My teeth havn't moved so I cant seee the point but I would like any input. Also, I have got a really lose tooth which is going to fall out at some point as it roots where completely ruined by the insisor next to it as it was growing sideways into the roots of my frount teeth. I had to have an op afew years ago to remove them.My other frount teeth are slightly lose and there is a very good chance that they wont fall out, but this one is annoying and I really want it out, my ortho said at my last appointment that he doesn't know when it will come out, but that it will. Do you think that I should try to make it fall out or leave it to fall out itself. I mean it is going to fall out anyway so what is the point of leaving it there? I kind of ranted on a bit there didn't I? Not in a great mood about the whole thing today.
Guest guest
Hi , I often wondered during my treatment whether or not I should bother my ortho with something which seemed trivial to me, but I always called, and they always had me come in to check on it. Sometimes they had to open early in order to accommodate me, and once I even went to see him in the office on his day off. CALL YOUR ORTHO! They are the ones who should be making the decision whether you need to come in or not. It isn't an inconvenience for them to squeeze you in if necessary, but you need to let them make that decision. They have more experience in these things and that's what you're paying them for. Ask him about the loose tooth while you're at it.
